A brand-new permanent orienteering trail awaits you in the heart of Castel Park, a peaceful green space right in the centre of Beauraing. It’s the perfect outdoor activity to enjoy with family or friends — safe, fun, and a great way to unplug from screens and reconnect with nature.
What is orienteering?
Orienteering is a fun outdoor activity where you use a specially designed map to locate a series of checkpoints (called “controls”) hidden throughout a natural space. On this trail, you’ll need to find and punch 13 markers on your map. No GPS or phone required — just your sense of direction, logic… and curiosity!
A transformed park to (re)discover
This trail also invites you to rediscover the Castel Park, which was heavily damaged by a tornado in 2021. Today, this emblematic site in Beauraing has been reborn with newly planted tree species, a refreshed landscape, and its beautiful ponds. A calm, fully enclosed space that’s ideal for a safe family outing.
